Rostraver Pony defeats Perry and advances to the Mon Valley Pony League Championship.

Rostraver Pony jumped out to an early lead over Perry and took home an 8-2 victory on Friday.  Rostraver Pony scored on an error in the first inning, a double by Dragan Radusewicz in the first inning, a walk by Nick Stanger in the second inning, a groundout by Ryan McGrew in the second inning, and a single by Nick Naylor in the second inning.

Rostraver Pony captured the lead in the first inning.  An error scored two runs for Rostraver Pony.

Rostraver Pony scored four runs in the second inning.  Rostraver Pony scored on a walk by Nick Stanger, a groundout by Ryan McGrew, and a single by Nick Naylor.

Andrew Kostelnik earned the win for Rostraver Pony. He threw seven innings, giving up two runs, five hits, and striking out nine.  Nicholas Hixenbaugh took the loss for Perry. He went  one inning, surrendering six runs, and three hits.

Jack Bryer went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Rostraver Pony in hits.  McGrew led Rostraver Pony with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.

Rostraver will now play West Newton on Monday, July 17 at 6:00. The game will be held at Perry, a neutral site.
